It started with a lost PDF
Every amateur athlete knows the story: you pay the registration, run, get a generic 'thanks for participating' email — and the site vanishes from your life. The result becomes a PDF spreadsheet lost on some timing site.
Meanwhile, the neighborhood race organizer restarts fundraising from scratch every edition, and your registration money goes straight to them at checkout — with no guarantee for you if the race doesn't happen.
